Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Resume-MCP ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. The service

Resume-MCP is an AI-powered resume creator. We provide tools to:

• Generate ATS-friendly resume PDFs from plain-text input.
• Tailor existing resumes to specific job descriptions.
• Send job applications via your Gmail account (when you explicitly opt in).

We may add, change, or remove features at any time without notice.

3. Account responsibilities

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure.
• You agree not to share your account or use someone else's.
• You must be at least 13 years old (or older if your jurisdiction requires).

4. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Create resumes containing false or misleading information.
• Spam recipients or send unsolicited bulk emails.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to bypass our rate limits.
• Upload illegal, defamatory, or copyright-infringing content.
• Use the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. AI-generated content

Resume content is generated by large language models (currently OpenAI's GPT family). AI output may occasionally contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate phrasing. You are responsible for reviewing every resume before using it for actual job applications.

We make no warranty that AI-generated content is accurate, complete, or appropriate for any specific purpose.

6. Intellectual property

• Your content: you retain full ownership of resumes and text you provide.
• Generated PDFs: belong to you. Use them however you want — including for commercial job applications.
• The Service itself: the website, code, templates, and branding are our intellectual property.

7. Tokens and billing

The Service operates on a token-based system. New accounts receive free starter tokens. Each operation (create, tailor, update, apply) deducts tokens. When you reach zero, you must wait for the monthly reset or upgrade to a paid plan if available.

Tokens have no monetary value, are non-transferable, and non-refundable.

8. Service availability

We aim for high uptime but provide the Service "as is" without uptime guarantees. Maintenance, outages, or third-party failures (OpenAI, Google, Cloudflare) may cause temporary unavailability.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Resume-MCP shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost employment opportunities, business losses, or data loss. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (or $50, whichever is greater).

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Mumbai, India.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
